To format a USB drive, follow these steps:

[*]Connect the USB drive to your computer's USB port.
[*]Open "File Explorer" (Windows) or "Finder" (Mac).
[*]Locate the USB drive in the list of available drives.
[*]Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) on the USB drive and select "Format" or "Erase."
[*]Choose the file system format you want to use (e.g., FAT32, exFAT, NTFS for Windows; macOS Extended (Journaled), exFAT for Mac).
[*]Give the USB drive a new name (optional).
[*]Select any additional options or settings you prefer.
[*]Double-check that you have selected the correct USB drive for formatting.
[*]Click "Start," "Format," or "Erase" to initiate the formatting process.
[*]Wait for the formatting process to complete. This may take a few moments.
[*]Once the formatting is finished, you will receive a confirmation message.
[*]Safely eject the USB drive from your computer.

Remember to back up any important data on the USB drive before formatting, as the process will erase all existing data.
