Newbie669880 Lv1Posted 29 Oct 2024 17:59

Greetings,
I am trying to upload an ISO file to Datastore for an operating system installation. When I select the ISO file, the upload begins, but when it reaches 98%, an error appears saying Upload failed."

Hi, are you performing the upload on the same network segment of hci servers? Have you checked on datastores if there are enough free space to allow iso upload? Are you facing the same issue if you upload a different iso on hci? Are you connected via ethernet cable or wireless?

same network segments with full access, and more than 20T space is available on datastore. its starts uploading but at the end the error occurs. @AimanHakim as you advised I will try to patch the HCI and then check.

Have you trying to upload another iso? maybe the iso you are uploading is corrupted or there's another one iso on the datastore with the same name.

Hi, make sure you are using a correct datastore and it's properly accessible

You can try this method :
1. Use a more stable connection. Try using cable not wifi connection.
2. Make sure you have the necessary permissions to upload.
3. Try to use another ISO file and ensure there are no corruptions.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1) Check Free Disk Space in Datastore. If there is not Enough Space in Datastore to Allow Upload ISO image file, So Please Spare Some Space.
2) Check Network Connection, Try to Use Cable.
3) Try To Upload ISO Image while on same Network Segment.
4) Try To Use Other ISO Image might be issue with the ISO File.

If you're unable to upload an ISO file to a datastore, check for issues such as insufficient storage space, file size limits, or network problems.product photo editing service Ensure that you have the correct permissions to upload files. Also, verify that the datastore is accessible and not in maintenance mode. If issues persist, consider restarting the ESXi host or checking logs for errors.
