When setting up a new Virtual Datastore on 2 brand new Fujitsu Servers (RX2540 M4) every model of SSD were not supported.

SSD were DC models:
960GB from Intel S3520 serie
240GB and 480GB from Samsung SM863a serie

Only a SSH SCRIPT launched logging as root (remotely by SANGFOR support, with a restricted password) unlocks the procedure.

The SSD finally used is Samsung SM863a Mz7KM480 with firmware CSLA

Hi,

For Availability and performance concern, HCI only allow to use certain specific SSD that predefined by RnD. But that limitation can be bypassed from backend. Of course using other brand SSD will not affect the performance, just that it is a recommendation for better experience.
