Hi,
Customer is using office 365 and want to secure email using Sangfor NSF. I would appreciate it if you could explain how NSF protects ,like scans attachments, filters spam or phishing emails, and how we can configure NSF to achieve email security.

Sangfor NSF provide Spam Filtering, Phishing Protection, Attachment Scanning, Data Leak Prevention (DLP), Real-Time Monitoring and Reporting.

Steps to Configure NSF for Office 365 Email Security:

Step 1: Set Up Mail Flow in Office 365
Log in to the Office 365 Admin Center.
Navigate to Exchange Admin Center (EAC) > Mail Flow > Connectors.
Create a new connector:
From: Office 365
To: Partner Organization (Sangfor NSF)
Provide the required IP addresses or domain name of your NSF appliance.

Step 2: Configure Sangfor NSF
Login to NSF Management Console

Access the web-based console of the NSF appliance.
Set Up Policies

Go to Email Security > Spam Policies and define spam thresholds and filtering rules.
Enable phishing protection under Email Security > Anti-Phishing.
Enable Attachment Scanning

Navigate to Threat Protection > File Scanning.
Enable malware scanning for attachments.
Configure sandboxing for in-depth analysis.
Configure DLP

Set up data leakage policies under Data Protection > DLP Rules.
Define keywords, file types, or patterns to monitor sensitive information.
Whitelist/Blacklist Management

Under Policy Management > Email Filtering Rules, set up allow/deny lists for domains or email addresses.

Step 3: Test and Validate Configuration
Send test emails with spam, phishing, and malicious attachments to verify NSF is filtering appropriately.
Monitor logs and reports in both NSF and Office 365 to ensure correct routing and security measures.

Step 4: Enable Monitoring and Reporting
Enable alerts and notifications for detected threats under System Settings > Alerts.
Regularly review security reports to optimize policies.
