Use Sangfor VPN for HQ interconnectivity if you need centralized SD-WAN management, better performance, and scalability.
Use IPSec VPN if you need simpler, cost-effective site-to-site security.
Best practice: Sangfor SD-WAN with dynamic routing (BGP/OSPF) and IPSec as a backup.

IPSec can be used for secure point-to-point encryption between the HQ sites, providing strong security for traffic traveling between them. However, leveraging Sangfor VPN, which is designed to optimize SD-WAN traffic, can offer additional benefits such as application-aware routing, centralized traffic management, and WAN optimization. Ideally, you should use Sangfor VPN for SD-WAN optimization and manage the inter-HQ connections through IPSec tunnels for secure, encrypted communication. This hybrid approach allows for efficient, secure inter-site communication while also benefiting from SD-WAN's advanced routing and performance features.
