vmtools and linux guest

Hi,
we migrated 2 vm from vmware to sangfor hci, while installing sangfor vmtools i got error "failed to update rd file", then install finished.
after reboot we cannot use vm console, it is full black.
Guest is OpenSUSE, 4.1.31.30 kernel version, is there any suggestion about this problem? what we can do to solve problem?

Hi, it seem like OpenSUSE leap 15.0 not fully compatible to the vmtool. We will feedback to RnD team after reproduce issue in local environment. Thank for feedback about this issue.

Hi , i'm facing another issue with a different OpenSUSE Release, i got "Install Update Module Failed", i attach a screenshot, any suggestion to solve this problem?

Hi, fond a solution, i modified vmtools-install.sh,

searched for "sles" and modified it in "suse" because OpenSUSE as os-release set to "suse".
i'll suggest to developper to duplicate "sles" section for "suse" to support also "OpenSUSE"
